What is Halotherapy?
Halotherapy, also known as salt therapy, speleotherapy, or dry aerosol therapy is 100% natural, safe, and drug free. Dry salt is passively inhaled in a specially constructed room called a Salt Room. Salt rooms, are rooms with the interior walls covered entirely in salt. A therapeutic salt cave microclimate environment is produced by a special made halogenerator, which saturates the air with ionized dry salt particles.
The special salt on the walls buffer air moisture and provides the environment with aseptic properties.
The special negative ion environment eliminates harmful electromagnetic pollution. This ionised salt does not evaporate during the treatment, thus the air remains dry. This therapy involves breathing in microscopic salt particles which have a positive effect on the respiratory system and skin aliments. The dry sodium chloride aerosol in the Salt Room eliminates airborne particles in the airway and helps the body purge itself of toxins. Halotherapy or Salt Therapy is a safe complimentary therapy and has no side effects. There are no microbes or allergens in the Salt Room. This allows the body’s immune system to rest during treatment. The salt particles convert positive ions into negative ions, which is vital in strengthening the body’s natural immune system.
This natural treatment was widely used by the ancient Greeks, who discovered that salt mines and Salt Caves had a therapeutic influence on respiratory problems.
This medication free treatment method was invented in 1982 in Russia. Since then thousands of patients have been successfully treated in Russia, Germany, Austria, Poland, Hungary, Canada, and now the US. Researchers and scientists studying the effects of natural salt therapy developed a unique machine to reproduce the microclimate of Salt Caves and to deliver the therapy in artificial conditions in a specially designed room.
